Half the Game of Golf is Won at the Green
Our simulated putting greens look, feel, and even play just like real putting greens. But better than an actual putting green, ours is virtually maintenance free. Just sweep it off and you're ready to play. Here is why:
The simulated grass used in our putting green is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) the same material used in PVC pipes. It also has nylon backing and is laid like carpet on compacted crushed granite. Then about ½ inch of sand is poured over the ¾ inch plastic grass fibers to weigh down the green. The remaining ¼ inch blades supplies the same feel and ball reaction as a putting green at a professional golf course.
A miniature golf course just has fabric laid on concrete. We excavate down and use layers of decomposed granite, sand, and rock for drainage. The crushed granite subsurface can be built up and carved out to create contours, which make the game more challenging than just putting on a flat surface. The sand helps control the ball's speed and allows for realistic chipping.
